Juozas Vidas Grazulevicius was born in Marijampole, Lithuania, in 1951.
He has graduąted from Kaunas Polytechnic Institute (now Kaunas University of Technology) in 1974 receiving an engineer degree in chemical technology.
Before the doctoral studies he has spent three years in paper industry.
He received PhD (1980) and Dr.Sc (1995) degrees in chemistry at Kaunas University of Technology. Both his Ph.D. and Dr.Sc. theses were related to the synthesis and properties of organic photoconductors.
From 1996 he is professor, head of Department of Organic Technology at Kaunas University of Technology.
He has spent several extensive periods at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, at Lancaster University (Great Britain) and at the University of Bayreuth (Germany).
He has authored three chapters of the books, more than 70 papers in the journals and 16 patents.

 Field of scientific interest :
His current research interests are related to charge transporting polymers and low-molar-mass glasses as well as to photophysics of organic compounds.
