Ričardas Sobiestijanskas was born in Druskininkai,
Lithuania, in 1962.
He received the diploma of Physicist and of Physics Teacher at Vilnius
University in 1985 and the Ph.D. degree in Physics (Microwave investigations of
ferroelectric dynamics in new order-disorder ferroelectrics, 1993), also at
Vilnius University.
Then he continued working at Vilnius University in research laboratories on
various ferroelectric and fast ion transport material investigation projects,
while presently he is a senior researcher at Department of Radiophysics, Vilnius
University.
In late eighties and nineties Dr.Sobiestijanskas worked in join projects with
Institute of Experimental Physics of Wroclaw University, Poland and in 1995-1996
he was spending extensive period at University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo,
Japan as research associate.
Dr. Sobiestijanskas has authored more than 20 papers and about 20 presentations
in conferences.
Field of scientific
studies :
His current research interests are
transport properties in superionic materials, cooperative effects in
order-disorder type crystals using radio and microwave spectroscopy.
